More Grammar Practice, Levels 1, 2, and 3
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." OK, so this is not good grammar. However, it is a famous quote in colloquial American English which basically means that if something works for you, don't change it! So, this is what I continue to do regarding my choice of textbook for my English classes.
More Grammar Practice is a series created by Thomson and Heinle first in 2001. Since then, the series has been updated several times. With levels 1, 2, and 3, I like the way each workbook explains a grammar point and then gives exercises for the students to complete. Perhaps some people find grammar boring, but it is indeed the backbone to learning language. And that's what I use this series for: a backbone for my classes.
In my blogs, I will highlight points from the series by using my own language with what a student might have learned from the lesson. I will not be quoting from the series for copyright purposes, but I would encourage you to follow along in your own "More Grammar Practice" workbook which was provided for you in class.
As always, we can dialog below on any questions you may have.
Happy Learning!
